In this project, we have to perform maintenance of the existing website to add new functionalities that better support their offered services. Using WordPress CMS and MySQL database, courses and user registration process needed to be developed. There was also a requirement for a shopping functionality using WooCommerce to allow direct selling of products from the website.

The goal was to create a streamlined, user-friendly website with robust backend features. For this, it was important to leverage the latest version of different technologies and deliver a comprehensive solution, enabling SSI to manage courses, user data, and product sales efficiently. About Swiftwater Safety Institute

SSI has been present in the swift water rescue industry serving U.S. military special forces, as well as the public service and recreational sectors. It utilizes innovative educational techniques and integrative scenarios to allow instructors to train professional rescue agencies, commercial guides, and private river runners around the world. The institute has an international presence in Australia, Chile, India, Nepal, and Austria. SSI has been called upon to oversee river safety in various U.S. film productions. With a mission to provide innovative training opportunities, the institute is continually helping to shape the surface water and flood response training industry.

Project Goal

The primary objective of the project was to develop an efficient, scalable website to manage SSI’s diverse offerings through website maintenance service. Other than this, the project also focused on creating a seamless shopping experience for purchasing courses and related products along with a streamlined backend for managing inventory, product sales, and user transactions.
