An Android App for Documenting an Accident Details

The client approached SynapseIndia with a requirement of developing a standard Android Application where accident victims can get instant live assistance.

Our Endeavor

Auto Accident App is the first and only mobile phone application to offer instant, on-the-scene, live assistance to accident victims. Even better, our state-of-the-art App also provides one-button access to emergency personnel and step-by-step guidance through the information gathering process to ensure that no critical information or evidence is missed.

We have analyzed the client requirements very carefully and developed the application with an approach so that the application is scalable in future to add new services. The Auto Accident App offers instant, on-the-scene, live assistance to accident victims. Even better, this state-of-the-art app also provides one-button access to emergency personnel and step-by-step guidance through the information gathering process to ensure that no critical information or evidence is missed.

The provided Accident Recording System is used to easily document every detail with pictures, audio witness statements, injury charts, car damage picture documentation and much more. Auto Accident App creates a comprehensive accident report, with attached pictures, and composes the information into a single email that can be sent out to all necessary parties (such as Legal, medical insurance company etc.).

Upon activation, the app will automatically call the customer service operator. A voice message plays saying "Potential accident detected, accident wizard will launch in 5 seconds, press cancels to terminate". If the app gets no response then it calls the customer service operator. Alongside, we have also successfully integrated an accelerometer in the application to detect impact/forced observed by the device and assume it as an accident. The accelerometer detects the impact, force and jerk observed by the device on the basis of available reading.

Registration system is simple and quick – instead of manually entering all kinds of details about driving info, simply take a picture of driving documents (driver’s license, vehicle registration, and insurance), and it is done. The app can gather personal/critical data as evidence. It facilitates the acquisition of critical and self-explanatory information/documents so that user can get support and further approach for legal/transpiration/medical help.
