An Ecommerce Site for Selling Reusable Bags

Client Brief

The client approached SynapseIndia with an already developed ecommerce site that offers grocery bags. The client was looking for some enhancements to be done on the site so that it can work better.

Our Endeavor

CustomGroceryBags.com is a manufacturer and wholesaler of reusable bags made from eco friendly materials. The company owns this web face to promote and market their products to a larger group of target audience. The website also works as an e-store offering their whole sale deals to businesses.

Substantially we have taken up following steps to help the website work better:

• Created a Magento custom theme.
• Installed a CAPTCHA code for all the forms on the site.
• Created request a quote module to be implemented on the site.
• Integrated FishPig module and customized the site, so that we can pull blog post on the Magento site.
• Customized a PDF catalog so that client can create dynamic catalog from admin for all the products with custom layout.
• Integrated social networking links on the site.
• Customized the contact form of the Magento.
• Created a module for Request a Quote forms.
• Customized category pages as per design provided by the client by implementing static blocks on category page using layout xml.
• We have upgraded Magento (to 1.7.2.0) and enhanced a number of modules so that they work with the latest version. We have customized the home page and added a few UI elements such as custom sliders as well as other features to customize category pages and make the site more user friendly.
