The requirement was about developing a listing website for minority and women owned businesses. The idea was to give them a forum where they can list their company and search business opportunities, participate in MWBE events and connect with corporate.
MWBEs.com is an online network for minority and women owned business enterprises to connect with buyers and opportunities. MWBE firms can search minority business events & bid for opportunities, review buyer profiles, access important information and resources here. This is a free forum, users don't need to pay anything for membership.
Front End:
The front end of MWBE.com carries the following fuctionalities:
➢ The home page carries menu list, search box, featured events, partners and featured opportunities.
➢ MWBE Directory: When user clicks on it, he is taken to a page where he can be added to MWBE directory by completing a form. The information that a user enters in this form will get added to MWBE directory database
➢ Search Partners: In this search panel, users can search for partners. The search results would show featured partners, who are offering various programs for minority and women owned businesses.
➢ Featured Partners: Clicking on any search results, users get redirected to a featured partner page. We have also enabled each featured partners to have a vanity URL, which they can use to make it more SEO friendly or specific keyword directed. Every featured partner has got his/her separate logo, clicking on which a user would be able to see the “detail” page. Clicking on the “more link”, users will be redirected to view the “Featured Partner Directory” section. Directory section has keyword search facility as well as a “Category” drop down option. When a user selects a particular category, they can see a list of featured partners coming under that category.
➢ Spotlight Partners: This section contains the links of various Featured Partners' pages
➢ Search Events: The website facilitates the users to search for events by entering the following keywords:
• Event Type
• Date Of The Event
• Keywords
➢ Featured Event: We have enabled the users to view featured event listings with the date, event title and event brief. When a user clicks on a particular event, he/she will be redirected to the events detail page.
➢ Featured Opportunities: In this section users are provided the access to view featured opportunities listing. The most recent opportunities are listed first. When a user clicks on a title, he will be redirected to view the opportunity description page. If the opportunity has been posted by a featured partner, it would contain a link to the the partner's page.
➢ MWBE Resources Section: This section displays the links of the content pages configured by admin.
Administrative Section:
➢ The admin of the site can manage MWBE's listing, advertisements, opportunities, events, listings, popular jobs etc. Admin can move a features partner to the spotlight partners' section, if he so desires.
➢ The Admin can manage an MWBE directory. He/she can search, edit, delete, and export the directory into CSV format. Along with managing advertisements (add/edit/delete), the admin can also manage the featured listing page .
➢ The MWBE resources section can also be managed by the admin where he can add/delete pages, titles, etc. Titles of each new page appears as a link in MWBE resources section on home page.
➢ The admin manages the content of the static informative pages. Each content page including About Us, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Contact Us, For Partners, Advertise, etc. can be edited by using WYSIWYG editor from admin panel.
➢ We have also privileged the admin with certain SEO abilities where he/she can add title, description and keywords for the front-end pages. However, the Meta information does not change as per the dynamic content and are fixed for all the pages
