Enhancement of PHP Based Social Networking Website - BAALTAZ

Client Brief

The client came to us with an already developed social networking site and he wanted to us to flush out all its sins and make it an errorless piece of beauty.

Our Endeavor

Baaltaz.com is a place where you can meet your neighbors, make friends, run errands, plan events and more. We have renovated the site by doing the following changes:

Notification System: Once a user logs into the system, he/she can see the number of posts made in the building, and floor sections. Further, they can also see the number of messages in the inbox till date in the notification box. We have added tabs like Board, Floor, and Inbox in the notification area.

If a user is currently on Inbox tab and currently the Inbox tab is having a count of 8 in the notification box, so when a user clicks on any other tab like Board, Floor, Services, Profile or Friends, the Inbox notification counts become zero.

More Stories Button: Previously there was a scrolling functionality on the website, like, when a user scrolls down the older posts of the page were displayed through AJAX, similar to Facebook posts. But, the client didn't want the scrolling feature and suggested us to create a button called “More Stories” at the bottom of the pages and we implemented the same feature on button click. When a user clicks on the More Stories button, the older posts will be displayed.

Compose Email: We have completely changed the compose email feature. Previously users can only post a message to a single user and according to the requirement, we have implemented the functionality so that a user can select multiple users and share emails quickly.

We have integrated newly designed pages like Signup, Business, About us, Board, Floor, Profile, Edit Profile, Settings etc.
