Blog Posting Portal in SharePoint for 'TROIA'

TROIA is a site where users can not only post their latest blogs, but can also find latest news and portfolios. The client shared the design templates with us and we have integrated that in the SharePoint. The website was an internet facing site with the content management, to create blogs, reply to the blogs posted on the site, to create and get the latest news being posted on the site. Site also maintains the portfolio details for the users that are logged into the site.

We have also created several webparts of blog, news and portfolio and integrated them into the site, as per the client requirement for the functionality of Blogs/News and portfolio. We have also added "Content Editor" webpart so that client can edit/modify any details that are added into the website.

To create a Visual Webpart, first we have created a Visual Studio Project. We have selected an empty project template for SharePoint 2010. When the project is created the SharePoint Customization Wizard is launched, the first innovation are the 2 kinds of solutions that we can create and deploy. There are: “Sandboxed Solutions” and “Farm Solutions”. We have selected the second option to attain the differences need a new post).
