PHP Website for Travel 'Real Africa' – African Safari, Tailor Made Holidays

Client Brief

The client wanted us to redesign his existing website that provides information about various tour packages available for travelling in different parts of Africa.

Our Endeavor

Real Africa is a UK based safari holiday specialist, offering safari holidays throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, including Tanzania, Botswana, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, South Africa, Malawi and Namibia. Working on the enhancements, we re-designed the web site using a new/updated logo and color scheme. For this, we used some fresh colors shades of green, gray etc. Besides this color input, we added some additional feature into the design as well. Having designed the home page, we converted it into the HTML. We have also suggested the client to use a pop-up for additional feature and have implemented into the page.

The client further asked to do few enhancements in the website functionality. Client wanted us to do following tasks -

• Make the changes of slideshow and forms live on the server
• To add a section in the Admin Panel to add/update the new pages and main photo to show the content on the front-end of the website
• Add some Google code adding to the site's footer to allow a re-marketing campaign in AdWords
• Make the five photos and main photo feature in admin and front-end section on lodge, guide and offer pages same as in the Family page
• Add the "Address" fields in the emails on the Holiday pages and the Tailor pages, Remove the right- hand section and also to add the link at the bottom so the Admin is able to update it themselves

Working on the enhancements, our team did following tasks -

• Made the changes live of the slideshow view on all the Itinerary pages and the Lodge pages
• Updated the script in the special3.php page to show the information from the special3_admin.php page
• Added a section in the Admin Panel to add/update the new pages and managed the database and shown the content on the front-end of the website
• Updated the script to upload a main photo of the page Content Management Section in the Admin Panel
• Added the Google code in the website footer
• Added the five photo and main photo feature in admin and front-end section on lodge, guide and offer pages
• Added the "Address" fields in the emails on the Holiday pages and the Tailor pages Added the Link feature and removed the right section on the 3 pages - lodge, offers, guide in the Admin Panel as well as the front-end firstly in the Dev server then after client's confirmation on the Live server of the website
