Development of a Xamarin app for Recreation Industry in the USA - Kaloud

Client Brief

Kaloud is a leading brand that offers a premium collection of hookah products. The client has an existing website and he approached us to develop a hybrid mobile app for iOS and Android using Xamarin. He also wanted us to integrate the existing Shopify store into the mobile app.

Our Endeavor

Our Xamarin app development team created the mobile app “Kaloud” for iOS and Android as per the client's requirements. We added various features in the app i.e. Shopify store, Instagram API, connect with Bluetooth, custom push notification, etc. Upgrading the firmware of hardware through Bluetooth communication was a challenge for our Xamarin app developers. It was tricky, but yes, we did it successfully.

The app connects with the Bluetooth hardware installed in a hookah which in turn connects with the LED lights. The app users can select any mood from the list present on the UI and change the light in the LED strip. The “Instagram” functionality allows the user to directly check all the photos being showcased in the Instagram account of Kaloud. In “Account” functionality, we have given an option to the users to select automatic disconnection with the Bluetooth device after a certain period of time. Custom push notification functionality enables the user to manage push messages through the app. The “Shop” feature displays all the hookah products and the app users can easily buy it.

Finally, we accomplished this cross-platform app development project and delivered to the client in the USA.
